I love auctions. The thrill of discovering an item that resonates with you, then eagerly awaiting to see if it will become yours. Here are two items I recently won, and that are on their way to our home as we speak.
The first one is an oil painting by the Catalan painter Cándid Planas Masó, dating back to around 1900. I’ve been searching for a painting to hang in our new kitchen, and when I saw this one, I knew it was perfect — the colors and feeling matched exactly what I wanted. Besides that, the fact that it’s coming from Barcelona to Stockholm feels meaningful to me — a piece of my hometown completing a full circle.
The second item isn’t as sentimental, but I was thrilled when the seller agreed to my offer of 150kr. It’s a summer dress for Moa from my favorite children’s brand, MarMar Copenhagen. I’ve been searching for this pattern for a while now. I can already picture her wearing it, running around Peñíscola with her sunglasses and favorite basket.
